This post should have been written a long time ago. Last March 1 I had the privilege to attend the opening of the first Ferrari and Maserati dealership here in the Philippines. Autostrada Motore Inc. is the official distributor and dealer of Ferrari and Maserati here.
I’m a huge Ferrari fan. About 6 or so odd years ago one of my friends found out that one of my dreams was to ride a Ferrari. He happened to know the family that imports Ferrari here. So he spoke to his friends and asked if they could show me a Ferrari and hopefully give me a ride. In short one day several years ago my dream came true and I was able to ride a Ferrari 360 Modena.
Fast forward to the present. I was fortunate that the Marc, the guy who gave me a ride still remembered that I loved Ferrari and he invited me to the opening of the official dealership. Fully knowing that I could not afford one in this life time maybe even the next, it did not matter to him. He knew I was a fan and that was enough.
Suffice to say the experience was amazing. I’ve never seen so many Ferraris in a single place. From the 458 Italia, to the 599 GTB and various other models includintg Maseratis, the place was packed with the exotic beauties.
Ferrari officers were on hand to grace the event as well as other special guests. It was a grand night and one I will definitely not forget.
